The Mite Falls Freeze is the PREMIER Mite Hockey Festival of the season and features a 4 game guarantee, on-site EMT's, USAH officials. Don't miss this fantastic event that focuses on providing a great weekend for players and families!

Festival Date:
February 10-11, 2024

Festival Features:
Separate A and B Divisions (Possible C Division depending on number of first year teams registered)
4 game guarantee
Half-ice format with full-size Croxice Dividers for realistic game play
4v4 plus goalies
Three 12-minute run time periods
Zamboni after every second game
On-site concessions
All games played at the Scheels Ice Plex are live streamed using Live Barn

Registration Fee:
$525 - No additional gate cost

Acceptance Criteria:
Teams must register and pay the registration fee in full to be considered for the tournament. Submission of application DOES NOT guarantee placement in the Tournament.  Team Status will be shown as "Pending" until approved by the SFYHA Tournament Director. Acceptance is based on space available and appropriate level of competition when your payment is received by SFYHA. Teams are required to present Official USA Hockey Rosters prior to start of play. 

Hotel Information:
SFYHA has partnered with EventConnect to be our hotel provider for this stay-to-play hockey tournament.  Except for teams located within the 80-mile radius surrounding Sioux Falls, all teams must book their hotel accommodations through EventConnect or pay a $250 hotel opt-out fee.  Those teams who do not abide by the stay-to-play rule will not be allowed to participate in the tournament. 


No refund will be awarded for cancellations within 30 days of the tournament start date. Registration fees (less a $50 processing fee for registration fees paid with credit card) will be refunded for a cancellation outside of the thirty day window where the cancelling team is replaced and the affected tournament division is filled.
