Sanford Health Land Donation
Sanford Health has generously donated enough land for 3
sheets of indoor ice and 1 outdoor sheet of ice to the Sioux
Falls Youth Hockey Association. The land is located North of
Benson Road and East of Westport Avenue and will be an
entire sports complex for the Sioux Falls Community.
We are excited to be a part of the huge sports complex and
will continue to update you as we begin our fundraising
campaign over the next few months. We will need your
support, the communities support and involvement to make
this all happen!!!

COACHES NEEDED
The Sioux Falls Youth Hockey Association is now seeking
coaches for the 08-09 season. Boys and girls ages five
through eighteen are looking for your experience and
enthusiasm. Just call 605-361-9836 or email the hockey

Volunteer now and give a kid the chance they’ve been looking
for.
SDAHA Meeting Update
A special meeting was held on Saturday, June 21st
with the South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association. As we
reported in April, the SDAHA board voted to geographically
split the Sioux Falls hockey program beginning with the
2009-10 hockey season. At this time no geographical split
will affect Sioux Falls hockey. The state has instead
approved a motion to review the idea of geographical splits
and further define when and how a geographical split would
take place. Sioux Falls Youth Hockey will continue to work
with the state on this matter.
